ここにいけば、無条件で幸せになれるっていうパラダイスはありません。
例えば、気づいていない子も多いかもしれないけれど、日本は多くの外国人、特に発展途上国の人にとっては憧れの土地です。
インフラも整っているし、治安もいいし、豊かだし、デモが許されるくらいの自由があるからね。
でも、実際に日本に住んでいる君たちにとって、日本はどうでしょうか？いるだけで幸せになれるようなパラダイスでしょうか？
？？？
多くのみんなにとっては、日本は住んでいるだけで幸せになれるパラダイスではないと思うんだよね。
どんなにきれいに見える憧れの場所も、そこに実際に行ったら、パラダイスではないことに気づくと思います。
そんなときに、「自分のパラダイスは別のところにある」と言ってまた環境を変えてもうまくいきません。だって、無条件に幸せになれるパラダイスなんてないんだから。
日本にいようが、どこにいようが、幸せになるには幸せになる努力をする必要があるよね。

大事なのは、姿勢だと思うんだよね。
今、自分がいる場所でできることの可能性を追求したり、努力する姿勢を持たないまま環境を変えてもうまくいきません。
例えば、就職活動の結果、希望する一流企業に入れずに、だれも知らないような小さな会社に就職した人がいるとします。
「自分は一流企業にふさわしい人間だ。一流企業に入って大きな仕事をしたら、充実した日々を過ごせる」と言って目の前のお仕事にあまり取り組まずに転職活動ばかりしているとします。
万が一、一流企業に入れたとしても、一流企業に入ったとたんに充実した日々を過ごせるかって行ったらそうじゃないと思うんだよね。
だって、目の前の小さなお仕事をおろそかにして、お仕事をえり好みするような姿勢じゃ、いいお仕事ができるとは思えないでしょ？
逆に、小さな会社でも一生懸命お仕事に取り組めば、小さなお仕事の中にも面白いところや実現できるものがあることに気づけて、充実した日々を過ごすことができると思うんだよね。

誤解しないで欲しいんだけれど、環境を変えるなって言っているわけではないよ。
場合によっては、環境を変えたほうがいい場合もあります。
ただし、そこにいけば無条件に幸せになれる っていうパラダイスのような場所はないんだよね。
どこに行ったって、自分の可能性や、その環境で実現できるものを追及する姿勢を持つ必要があると思うんだよね。

There is no paradise where everybody can be happy without any condition.
For example, Japan is a country where many foreign people of advancing countries want to go.
Infrastructure is well-organized, security is good, there are a lot of goods and it is free as you can make a demonstration.
But, for you who actually live in Japan, how do you feel about Japan? Is it really a paradise by just living in?

For most, I think Japan isn’t such a paradise where everybody can be happy by just living in.
Even if it looks a wonderful paradise from a long distance, when you really come to Japan, you will notice that it isn’t a paradise.
If Japan isn’t a paradise, and then you think that paradise exists somewhere else, you might move to another place. But this isn’t good because there is no paradise where everybody can be happy without any condition.
Whether you are in Japan or somewhere else, you have to make efforts to be happy.

The important thing is your attitude.
It can’t work well if you change your environment without making any effort at the place where you are now.
For example, imagine you enter a small company, not a big famous company which you wanted to enter at job hunting activities. You think that “I am a person worthy to work in a big company”, and doesn’t work very seriously in the small company where you are now. You still look for a big company to move.
In this case, even if you succeed in changing to a big company, I think you won’t be successful in the new company. If you are a person who couldn’t work in earnest about your small job in the small company, you never can make a good job in the new company.
By contrary, even if you are in a small company, if you tackle with your jobs earnestly and enthusiastically, you can find an interesting thing and sense of accomplishment. I think you will be happy with this.

I don’t like you to misunderstand what I say. I don’t say “Never change your environment.”
Sometimes, it is better to change your environment.
But there is no paradise where you can be happy without any condition.
I think, wherever we are, we should have attitude to seek possibility and make efforts for self-realization.
